One of the most powerful things you can do to your blog to make it more interesting and attractive is insert pictures into your post. For pictures on the internet: Including pictures is extremely simple.
Simply open a new browser and navigate to the picture you want. Copy the picture path from your browsers navigation bar (most pictures end in .gif or .jpg) or copy it from the properties popup (right click, select properties). Go to your write new post page (see "Posting articles to your journal"). Now, click the small icon of the mountain picture on the formatting toolbar above the "Text" box on the New Post page. A pop-up window will appear. Paste the URL of the image in the "Image URL" box and click preview to see how it will look. When you are satisfied, click "OK" to add it to your post.
Keep in mind that placing your pictures exactly as you want them without resorting to HTML programming can be difficult. It is often easiest to make a bunch of blank likes in your post (by pressing return) and make sure you click around the middle row of these blank lines before you add the picture. This will make certain that you have room to edit text and placement both above and below your image. You may also "click drag" your picture (click and hold left mouse button) to where you want to place it. Return.
Adding pictures from your hard drive can seem complicated the first time you do it. Don't worry, once you do it once it is actually very simple.
