Let me start of saying that this is definately an easter egg, and have no idea why the developement team put this area in here.
Newman's landing is a dock into the great sea, and one house that is right behind it. The odd thing about this little 1 room house is that it is full of bones, human. There are just piles of piles of bones in this house. The docks are bare except old beer kegs, ect. and fishing!
And how did i know the name to this place?
There is a sign pointing directly to the entrance of this house.
Just an odd place, wonder if anyone else found this place....
6) Little house on coast west of Stormwind
Swim north from the coast of Westfall. You'll eventually reach an abandoned house with a sign "Newman's Landing".
Newman's Landing is a small area off the west coast of Dun Morogh, located at coordinates 10,75. The area holds one dilapidated building (similar in appearance to buildings in Moonbrook, Westfall), and a dock. At the building there is an alcohol still, several open boxes of grain, and many piles of bone. The dock features a sign reading "Newman's Landing", a table, several lanterns, and a sunken boat in the water below.
The area has no monsters, no tradeskill spawns, and no containers. Currently, it's merely a sight-seeing location. Visitors to this location can walk to a position which appears close to Coldridge Valley, but cannot access it from here.
It is my belief that the location fell victim to the plague, and thus remains abandoned.
The purpose of "Newman's landing is unknown, although given the relative "simplicity" of reaching this area, it may very well be a simple easter egg.
An isolated house and dock, littered with human remains, rests in a very difficult to get to cove along the shores of Southern Westfall. Little is known of this house, the story surrounding it and the purpose it serves.
