"Wowmapview" is a real-time, 3D Map viewer for WOW which uses the local client files found on your hard drive. Using this application, you'll be able to explore the virtual world without logging into the server. Since the viewport is simply a free-roaming camera, you will be able to check out every single piece of geometry that makes up the WOW universe.

"Wowmapview" is a real-time, 3D model viewer for WOW which uses the local client files found on your hard drive. Using this application,you'll be able to examine each and every object found in the game, including some that aren't yet available to players.
Simply launch the application, select the model you wish to view and pan/rotate/zoom to examine it. Depending upon the model, you'll also be able to check out all of the animations simply by clicking a button.
With Blizzard's desire to keep intrepid explorers out of areas that are closed or incomplete, along with rumors of banned accounts for being in closed areas, trying to explore "out of bounds" territories might not be the best idea if you wish to keep your character.
Luckily, there are some very interesting tools that will allow you to explore the game world on your local computer without the risk of Blizzard banning you from the game.
