Wetlands Farm Walkthrough

The following is a pictorial guide of the "Wetlands Farm."

Video Links

The following exploration videos show the wetlands farm, the surrounding terrain and the "tunnel to nowhere."

I found the strangest area in the mountains here. You can only get to it by entering the gnomish airstrip in Dun Morogh (which is really hard itself) then jumping off a cliff there into the Wetlands, dying, and wandering around in the mountains by Menethil Harbor for awhile. It's very hard not to die while doing this as well. I finally found a road up there, the signs said "That Way" and "The Other Way." There were "Dwarvish Farmers" everywhere (the NPC name) and they all looked the same. No other NPC's besides some Ironforge guards. For some reason, all of the farmers, despite my being in the Wetlands, offered me directions to places in Ironforge when I talked to them, just like the guards do in IF. I also found a tunnel, which supposedly goes to Dun Morogh, but ends in the sky. There is literally nothing at the end of the tunnel but a sky with clouds. Nothing to walk on. I was afraid to step out of the tunnel, maybe if I knew what was at the bottom.

Purpose

Unknown. While some of this area could just be decorative for flyovers, the presence of such a large span of terrain, combined with the unfinished zone and the "tunnel to nowhere" point towards possible future expansion. The large tracts of terrain are viewable here, and the tunnel can be seen here and here.

Wetlands Farm

Between Ironforge Airport and the Wetlands lies a hidden area that has become known as the "Wetlands Farm." Not easily accessible, this rather large area contains finished farmlands and buildings, a cavern to nowhere, and a vast expanse of land ripe for development.
